SnagIt is a screen capture software that captures images, text, and video from your Windows desktop. SnagIt delivers customized screen captures with the press of a hotkey. You can produce both graphics and video with this complete capture solution. SnagIt's video capture is appropriate for simple short screen video capture tasks (e.g. recording how an application fails, or recording a monitoring
screen).

- Image Capture: SnagIt gives an option of selecting the screen as either an arbitrary rectangle or a window and supports capturing menus and repeated captures of fixed-sized images, such as icons and buttons. File formats supported include GIF, JPG, TIF, PCX, PNG, BMP and AVI.
- Text Capture: SnagIt helps you to grab text from applications that don't support Cut and Paste, reads the screen and saves editable ASCII text. Examples include text blocks in Encarta, the directory and files windows of the Windows 95 File Explorer, and the message header windows in the Exchange Client.
Video Capture: SnagIt allows you to capture on-screen activity, including mouse movements, as a standard AVI video file, and also lets you add a voice-over during capture. Great for training, multimedia clips and user help documentation.
- Object Capture: This is one of SnagIt’s unique features which allows you to capture toolbar buttons, taskbar buttons, icons, individual menu items, list and tree view items, and each element of a web page in Internet Explorer.
